Eshwar Potnis is an aspiring production designer from Mumbai, India, currently based in Melbourne, Australia. With a background in Product Design, he completed his Master’s in Production Design for Film & TV from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2021. At VCA, Eshwar worked on multiple short films, designing the short film Home and art directing Encounter in 2021.

Since then, he has gained valuable experience on long-form narrative projects like Foe, Metropolis, and Beneath the Storm as a Design Assistant, working closely with Australian and International Production Designers and Art Directors. Currently, Eshwar is the Art Director Assistant on the American TV show All Her Fault, where he continues to learn and further develop his design process.

Eshwar believes that exceptional design goes beyond mere aesthetics; it immerses audiences in experiences that resonate deeply. He is dedicated to crafting environments that authentically reflect the cultural contexts of the narratives being explored. With a keen understanding that every element—texture, color, and form—significantly influences the emotional connection between the audience and the story, Eshwar strives to create visual landscapes that evoke powerful responses. His goal is to contribute to meaningful projects that challenge perceptions and inspire positive change.
